Kini Murray berharap bisa melanjutkan torehan positifnya di Rogers Cup dengan menghadapi Roger Federer di laga puncak.

"Saya masuk lapangan dengan pemahaman bahwa saya harus menampilkan permainan terbaik bila saya ingin memiliki kesempatan untuk menang," tegasnya.

Bermain di Rexall Center,Toronto, Minggu kemarin, Murray yang merupakan unggulan keempat berhasil menyelesaikan pertandingan dengan skor akhir 6-3, 6-4.

Kemenangan atas Nadal ini merupakan pembalasan setimpal Murray atas kekalahan yang ia derita di semifinal Grand Slam Wimbledon tahun ini.
